Procedure for obtaining a police clearance certificate in the country of residence, apostillisation, legalisation
- Apply to the local police (Ministry of Internal Affairs/Ministry of Justice) for the certificate and obtain the original certificate with a stamp.
- Translate the certificate into English and have it apostilled at the Ministry of Internal Affairs or another government agency in your country of residence.
- Get the certificate legalised at the Lithuanian consulate (the translation into Lithuanian is certified by the consulate).
P.S.
– The police certificate must be provided for the last 5 years.
– If the candidate has been previously convicted, he/she must provide a certificate of his/her criminal record.
The international lawyers of our agency will check the criminal record and provide an answer to the applicant about the possibility of obtaining a residence permit.
– If the migration service decides that the offence was minor, we will prepare a package of documents for obtaining a residence permit.
– If the conviction was significant, then we will not be able to provide the documents to the client and will refund the advance payment in full.
Appointment to the Lithuanian consulate and registration
– Check the possibility of making an appointment and registering documents at the Lithuanian Consulate in the desired country of residence and provide us with information about the date of registration (photo/screenshot from the website).
– In case you are unable to make an appointment at the consulate on your own, we will try to help you with the help of our partners for an additional price, if you wish to use this service.
The following documents are included in the cost of the 2 year residence permit (LLG) application package:
- A job offer from the employer.
- A preliminary employment contract Tarpininkavimo raštas (letter of introduction). Valid for 30 days!
The employment contract will contain all the terms and conditions of employment, financing and confirmation of the employee’s place of residence upon arrival at the company.
- An application form (Migris application number). Valid for 90 days!
- Other related documents.
Important!
- After receiving the documents from the employer, the client must make an appointment at the Lithuanian Visa Application Centre (if there is one in the applicant’s country of residence) or Lithuanian Consulate within the validity period of the Letter of Approval (Tarpininkavimo rastas) provided by us and inform us of the date of the appointment (if the applicant fails to submit the documents to the consulate within 90 days, we will extend the Letter of Approval for the required period).
- The period of examination of documents at the consulate is approximately 2-3 weeks, the date of registration should be clarified in the country of residence of the applicant
- If the consul refuses to issue an ID card due to the end of quotas for employees or for other reasons beyond the control of the employer, we will not be able to refund the amount paid, but we will provide an opportunity to file a free appeal to the consulate within 30 days from the date of refusal – this will significantly increase the chances of obtaining a second permit!
